When school’s out, there’s nothing better than a morning at the movies to keep the kids entertained. Regal Entertainment Group has scheduled nine weeks of family-friendly movies at select theaters. During its Summer Movie Express, selected G- or PG-rated movies show at 10 a.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday. Tickets are just $1 each. The start dates vary by location, with most starting on June 6. (Even more thrilling, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Will Rogers Institute.)
This year, the flicks include:
- Week 1: Kung Fu Panda, Ice Age: Collision Course
- Week 2: Trolls, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked
- Week 3: Monster Trucks, Penguins of Madagascar
- Week 4: Rio 2, The Boxtrolls
- Week 5: The Secret Life of Pets, Sing
- Week 6: Kubo and the Two Strings, Ratchet and Clank
- Week 7: The Spongebob Square Pants Movie: Sponge Out of Water, The Adventures of Tin Tin
- Week 8: Happy Feet 2, Cats & Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore
- Week 9: Storks, The LEGO Batman Movie
Each week both movies play on both days. First-come, first-served seating is limited to theater’s capacity. Tickets are available only at the theater box office on the day of the show. For participating theaters nationwide, click here.
