If you’re a fan of the European style street with plenty of outdoor cafés and outside restaurant seating, you’ll be happy to know that Bethesda has decided to close some area streets to add outdoor seating. The “streetery” as it’s been dubbed, will open Wednesday. Now, residents are encouraged to grab food from local restaurants and bring it to the outdoor seating to enjoy a meal. The Bethesda Urban Partnership will take care of trash pickup and disinfecting surfaces. Here are the street closures (daily from 11 a.m-10 p.m.):
- Norfolk Ave. between St. Elmo and Cordell Ave.
- Norfolk Ave. between Cordell and Del Ray Ave.
- Woodmont Ave. between Elm Street and Bethesda Ave.
