The Chesapeake & Ohio Canal stretches 184.5 miles from Georgetown to Cumberland, Maryland, and Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historic Park offers entertainment and recreation options for visitors all year.
From April to October, you can take mule-drawn boat trips. Trails provide options for hikers, bikers and jobbers.
The park has seven visitors centers spread among its length. The park and the Great Falls Tavern and Cumberland visitor centers are open year-round. Other centers have seasonal hours.
Entrance fee is $10 per car or $5 per person on bike or on foot. Some activities may charge additional fees.
