These two showcases display artifacts ranging from the early days of children’s television to more contemporary programming. Objects on view will include Mister Rogers’ sweater, a pair of Mickey Mouse Club ears, objects from “Bill Nye the Science Guy” and several of Muppets from Sesame Street. Note: this display is part of the museum’s Holiday Festival programming. Other events will be posted in a week.
About the Museum
The National Museum of American History explores the infinite richness and complexity of American history through its collections and research. The museum helps people understand the past in order to make sense of the present and shape a more humane future. The museum is located on Constitution Avenue between 12th and 14th N.W., and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (closed Dec. 25). Admission is free.
